The crossing of 35 nautical miles from Panama City to the first islands of the Pearl Islands takes about one hour and 30 minutes in a straight line. However, we usually make stops to spot dolphins (all year round) and whales (June-November), as well as to try fishing on the high seas, as it will cross one of the best fishing areas in Panama. If fishing is part of your trip, you will cross the first continental drop and the area where the main catches are Mahi Mahi, Tuna, saw mackerel, Tuna Bonito, Jack mackerel, in others, as well as coastal bottom fishing around the islands. as it approaches the Archipelago.
Each island offers its own specialty; those who have better reefs to dive, other beaches of white sand and quiet. The main islands recommended to visit are: Contadora Island (main island with some development), Chapera, Saboga, Bartolomé, Chapera and Mogo Mogo, among others. Contadora, the main island of the archipelago, offers many facilities such as airports, hotels, restaurants and even houses to rent and prolong your stay at interest.
